“If only… I had more money”; “If only… I had a better job”; “ If only… I had a bigger house”; “If only… I had a better relationship with my family”; “If only… I were prettier”; “If only… we didn’t fall into this trap.”

Do we really believe that if we had all those things that we would be happy? Probably not. Oh, maybe for a while, but not long. “Things” will never satisfy us. God is the only answer.

What about all the things that God has done in our lives? All that He has provided for us? What more could He do for us? He has given us all we need when He sacrificed His only Son to save us. He has rescued us from our sins and given us eternal life.

So when you think “If only,”  remember, the Father is here for you and He cares and loves you.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”- John 3:16
