One of my favorite verses in the Bible comes from Philippians:
Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable if anything is excellent or praiseworthy think about such things.Philippians 4:8
As we focus on things that annoy or anger us, we often completely miss the good and wonderful stuff that can change the way we feel.
I experienced this firsthand when I was asked to do something that in my mind was already done and seemed unnecessary.
It turns out that once I completed the task, I realized that it was fun and a total blessing to be asked to do it.
If you’re a chronic negative thinker, I get it, the struggle is a battle for the mind. Daily Bible reading and prayer are great weapons to attack this. It takes practice, but with perseverance it will get easier.
