New Jersey high school teacher Matt Groark teaches health and physical education at Washington Township High School in New Jersey. Matt is an energetic and caring teacher, so his students gravitate to him.

Matt recently shared that he and his wife have been trying to add to their family of their own for quite a while. Unfortunately, his wife has had multiple miscarriages, recently suffering her fifth.

His students were so moved! They knew they had to do something to cheer up their favorite teacher. The students knew that their teacher was a huge fan of the Philadelphia 76ers, the teens thought it would be a great idea to buy two tickets to an upcoming game.

Matt was actually speechless and overwhelmed by their thoughtfulness and compassion. On his Twitter page, he called this gift a “rare and touching combination of maturity, heart and compassion by these teenagers in a world where all eyes are on them!”

Thanks to social media, the good deed has begun to ascend to viral status, and now the students are hoping to create a snowball effect of good deeds.

Everyone who saw what these students did for their teacher has been touched in different ways. Hopefully, we will see more of this type of selfless good deed, thanks to teens like these.

What a perfect example of how each of us can be the good we want to see in the world!

What can we do to be more like Jesus?

“Share each other’s troubles and problems, and so obey our Lord’s command.” – Galatians 6:2
